Hello, my name is Jess and I want to welcome you to Sparrows of Eden.​

The roots of SOE stems from me wanting to create a space where I can share my friends' music, or friends of friends, and share music that I like to listen to, or that I feel needs more recognition.

​

The name?

A sparrow itself can symbolise community, creativity and empowerment. Édith Piaf was nicknamed Le petit moineau, which translates as The little sparrow. A name she was known by because as a petite woman, she held a lot of power in her voice.

Eden, or Edxn is the place of heaven, dreams and shadows. It's the place where life began.

My friends and the people that I admire are like Sparrows of Eden to me, because the creativity that they make, I often see as heavenly.

​

So like sparrows, I want this project to be a community where I can help spread that creativity and spread that heaven.

​

I will share songs to listen to, Sparrows to keep an eye out for, and even words of the day that I feel fit to resonate with.
